Terms of Service

Last updated: May 20, 2026

Welcome to The Dizi Insider. By subscribing to our newsletter or using thediziinsider.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated from Bursa, Türkiye, and these Terms are subject to Turkish law.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to subscribe to the newsletter. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Under Turkish law, individuals under 18 require parental consent for certain online services.

2. The Service

The Dizi Insider is an English-language editorial newsletter covering Turkish prime-time drama series, the broader industry, and related cultural commentary. We publish weekly on Thursdays. We may also offer additional content formats, paid tiers, or platforms in the future.

3. Subscription and Cancellation

The free newsletter is provided at no cost. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. If we introduce paid subscriptions, separate terms specific to those tiers — including consumer protection rights under the Turkish Consumer Protection Law (Tüketicinin Korunması Hakkında Kanun, Law No. 6502) — will apply.

4. Editorial Independence

The Dizi Insider is an independent publication operating in compliance with the Turkish Press Law (Basın Kanunu, Law No. 5187) and applicable international standards. We have no formal relationship with the production companies, broadcasters, streaming platforms, talent agencies, or individuals we cover. Opinions expressed are those of the editorial team and do not represent any third party.

5. Intellectual Property

Our content

All original written content, branding, logos, and visual design on thediziinsider.com and in our newsletter are owned by The Dizi Insider and protected under the Turkish Intellectual and Artistic Works Law (Fikir ve Sanat Eserleri Kanunu, Law No. 5846), the Turkish Trademark Law, and international copyright treaties to which Türkiye is a party. You may not republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

You may share individual articles via social media or email forwarding for personal, non-commercial purposes, with appropriate attribution.

Third-party content

Our newsletter may include short quotations, screenshots, social media embeds, and references to copyrighted material owned by third parties (such as production companies and broadcasters). These uses are made under fair-dealing principles for the purposes of news reporting, criticism, and commentary, consistent with FSEK Article 35 (iktibas serbestisi) and analogous fair-use principles in other jurisdictions.

User replies

When you reply to a newsletter or email us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, quote, or paraphrase your message in future editorial content, with anonymization if appropriate. We will not publish identifying information without your consent.

6. Acceptable Use

When using the Service or interacting with us, you agree not to:

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty that the content will be accurate, complete, current, or uninterrupted. The Dizi Insider is editorial commentary and entertainment journalism — not professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Turkish law, The Dizi Insider and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence (ağır kusur), intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under Turkish law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms or engages in abusive behavior. You may end your relationship with us at any time by unsubscribing.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Bursa Courts and Execution Offices (Bursa Mahkemeleri ve İcra Daireleri), Türkiye.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose consumer protection laws require disputes to be heard in your local courts, this clause does not override those rights.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
